Comparative analysis of the economic, socio-cultural and environmental impacts of two agricultural production methods - agroecological and conventional - under Andean family farming conditions (IMPAC) - Projet clôturé
NGOs and universities have the will to build together synergies where each actor brings these specificities to meet needs identified on the ground, by the populations and / or the local actors involved. The IMPAC project translates this desire in a concrete way. It is coordinated by ULiège and Eclosio, actively supported by the islands of Peace and SOS Faim (Belgian NGOs), UNALM, UNSAAC and PUCP (Peruvian universities), CAP, Antarki (Peru) and IFOAM.
Our action
This two-year project aims to analyze, quantify and compare the economic, socio-cultural, and environmental impacts of two agricultural production methods – agroecological and conventional – under the conditions of Andean family farming in Peru.
It will provide objective and scientifically validated data on the impacts of each of these modes of production. This will help to address the current lack of data, especially in the Andean context, and the lack of studies that analyze the different dimensions of agroecology in an integral and cross-cutting way. These elements are all the more important in view of the fact that some actors and trends do not recognize agroecology as a valid alternative, claiming, among other things, more data.
