Are you involved in feminism and gender equality? Do you want to be part of a dynamic, European movement that drives change through travelling across Europe, art and street campaigning?

The Feminist Transnational Caravan project is looking for young feminists to join our mission to empower communities and raise awareness across Europe!

 

Your Role

We are inviting you to apply to become a participant in this project. There are two ways you can get involved:

1. Local Activist Track (National Focus)

Participate in the project activities happening in Belgium (Liège and Brussels), tailored to your local context.

This program will be in French.

Activities Include: two training weekends, the stop of the travelling Caravan in Liège, participation in the development of an online campaign and at least one local event.

2. Caravan Track (Full Project Commitment)

Take on a deeper role by joining the full Transnational Caravan. This requires travelling with the group to all specified dates and locations across the partner countries.

This program will be in English.

Activities Include: All national activities PLUS participating in a 5-day international training in Serbia, preparation meetings, the full travelling Caravan (23 days), and at least one local dissemination event.

 

Who We Are Looking For

To ensure a strong and committed team, all applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Age: Be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Language: Be fluent in French and in English if you take part in the full project.
  • Commitment: Be ready to sign a Volunteering Contract which includes:
    • Commitment to all scheduled project dates (including the final dissemination activity).
    • Adherence to the project’s Code of Conduct.
    • Consent to appear in photos and videos produced for awareness-raising and project documentation.

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive group, paying close attention to diversity in its broader sense in the selection process.

(Note: We encourage applicants under 30 years old for the Caravan Track to foster a close-knit, peer-driven group.)

 

Project Commitment and Dates (for the group from Belgium)

Your full participation and commitment are essential for the success of this project. Therefore, we expect you to commit to the following international and local dates.

Selected participants will need to sign a volunteer contract committing to: all the following dates (for the Full project commitment) ; the local dates (for the National Focus program):

Logistics and Conditions

  • All costs related to the project activities (travel, accommodation, and food) are fully covered by the project.
  • Accommodation will not be individual; participants will be sharing rooms.
  • We will adhere to sustainability guidelines and a strict Code of Conduct to ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all.

Specific Conditions for Caravan Track:

  • You must be comfortable with intensive travel, which may include occasional instances of night (sleeping) trains between destinations.
